My parents were small business owners who taught me the importance of managing money responsibly; a lesson our broken state government would be apt to learn today.

After a few years on the sidelines, watching state government and not liking what I see, I know it is time to stand up and offer my experience and vision to help us change course.  From the endless culture of borrowing that has saddled Illinois with record-high debt to the continued mismanagement of our state finances and violations of the public trust, the people of Illinois deserve better.

I am running for State Comptroller-the keeper of the checkbook-to be YOUR fiscal watchdog, to help restore public confidence in the management of your tax dollars and to demand real transparency and reform.
